Quixote’s True Blue, which is a Grateful Dead bar, just opened up where Bender’s used to be. The owner replaced the Johnny Cash mural that graced the side of the building for the past 8 years, with a Jerry Garcia mural. This change from one awesome artist to another has pissed off a lot of people. Someone was so angry that they threw buckets of paint at Jerry’s face. I guess I would understand this sort of vandalism more if Cash was replaced by Kenny G or Hitler. The fact that they did this for Johnny Cash shows that they know nothing about Johnny Cash… and if whoever did it liked Bender’s so much, maybe they should have went there more… so the owner wouldn’t have had to sell it. They doctored it up a little and now it looks pretty cool.
